As a Funding Specialist, you’ll be the primary point of contact for notaries and lawyers across Canada, proactively navigating the complexities of the funding process to ensure every purchase closes on its scheduled date. Where You’ll Make An Impact Prepare and send instructional packages to solicitors, along with supporting documentation, and remain a point of contact until the file is complete and funded Ensure the “Know Your Client” legislation is adhered to on all files Work directly with the solicitor to obtain any outstanding documentation Review and adhere to company funding procedures and legal guidelines to ensure that all information is accurate and complete prior to releasing mortgage funds Have detailed knowledge of the residential mortgage industry, conditions management and regulatory compliance Demonstrate sound decision-making skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment This Role Is For You If You You have 2 or more years of experience within the mortgage industry (residential mortgage funding experience is strongly preferred) and a post-secondary education You have strong written and verbal skills You have a working knowledge of residential mortgage legal documentation You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to work well independently as well as within a team environment You possess strong organizational skills with high attention to detail You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment You take ownership of your work and demonstrate a high degree of accountability at all times You are technology savvy Supporting Your Life At Nesto Group Health & Wellness: Comprehensive insurance (Drug, Vision, Dental) & Health and Wellness Spending Accounts.
