Job summary
New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Cybersecurity Technical Lead to provide technical leadership and operational coordination across the DevSecOps, Identity Management, Security Architecture, and Third-Party Risk Management functions. The role is accountable for translating cybersecurity strategy, architecture, and risk requirements into secure, scalable, and operationally sustainable services. The position provides day-to-day technical leadership, drives execution priorities, removes delivery blockers, and enables teams to deliver secure solutions across the enterprise. This is a hands-on leadership role that provides work direction, technical coaching, and operational oversight. It exercises significant judgment, escalates material risks and constraints, and supports management with planning, service performance, vendor oversight, and decision-ready information. Works closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into secure, scalable, and operationally sustainable solutions. Acts as the senior technical advisor for cybersecurity initiatives, providing mentorship, technical direction, and decision-making support to teams, projects, and stakeholders across the organization. Responsibilities: Lead operational delivery, prioritization, and technical execution across DevSecOps, Identity Management, Security Architecture, and Third-Party Risk and GRC functions by guiding solution design, establishing standards and best practices, making risk-informed technical decisions, and resolving complex cybersecurity challenges. Provide technical coaching, mentorship, and day-to-day work direction to team members, fostering continuous learning, knowledge sharing, innovation, and the development of technical capabilities across cybersecurity disciplines. Review and approve technical designs, architecture decisions, security standards, and implementation approaches to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned with enterprise objectives. Partner with business, technology, and project stakeholders to evaluate requirements, assess risks and trade-offs, provide expert recommendations, and support informed technology and cybersecurity decision-making. Lead the strategy, implementation, and operational management of identity security capabilities, including CIAM, Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), authentication, authorization, lifecycle management, privileged access management (PAM), Conditional Access, and identity-related risk controls. Provide technical leadership for identity and access architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant access solutions that support workforce, customer, supplier, and privileged user populations. Lead third-party cybersecurity risk management activities, including supplier security assessments, due diligence reviews, control evaluations, remediation planning, ongoing monitoring, and risk treatment recommendations. Conduct and oversee cybersecurity risk assessments for projects, technologies, cloud services, vendors, and operational initiatives, ensuring risks are identified, documented, mitigated, and communicated appropriately. Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) functions by developing security standards, maintaining control frameworks, tracking compliance obligations, managing risk registers and exceptions, and providing reporting to support governance and audit activities. Lead the DevSecOps function by establishing secure software delivery standards, integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines, driving automation of security testing and remediation processes, and partnering with development and platform teams to improve security, reliability, and developer experience. Collaborate with business, procurement, privacy, legal, and technology stakeholders to assess security requirements, manage technology and supplier risks, and enable secure business outcomes. Provide technical leadership for the secure adoption of AI, generative AI, agentic AI, and emerging technology solutions by establishing security guardrails, conducting architecture and risk assessments, protecting sensitive data, defining governance requirements, and ensuring compliance with organizational security and privacy standards. Drive operational excellence through automation, standardization, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk, improve service reliability, and enhance delivery efficiency. Requirements: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline. 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, identity and access management, DevSecOps, security architecture, or related domains. Professional cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Microsoft Security certifications, or other relevant industry-recognized certification Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary cybersecurity teams and influencing technical decisions across engineering, architecture, risk, compliance, and business stakeholder groups. Strong understanding of cloud security, application security, identity security, security architecture, and risk management principles.
