Job summary

New Value Solutions (NVS), a national IT consulting firm, is seeking an Infrastructure Security Consultant to support the Information Technology Division. The consultant will help reduce cybersecurity risk within critical government information systems as technology environments are upgraded, redesigned, renewed, and legacy environments are retired. Responsibilities: Lead, from a cybersecurity perspective, the upgrade and renewal of information technology environments. Participate as a key resources in Cybersecurity Maturity Security Program and broader Cybersecurity Maturity Program initiatives. Provide cybersecurity oversight and guidance for customer and business initiatives. Support the retirement and transition of legacy technology environments. Participate in information security, infrastructure renewal, and security architecture initiatives assigned by the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch. Contribute to the identification and reduction of security risks affecting critical information systems. Support the development, assessment, and implementation of secure technology and infrastructure architectures. Work within an environment responsible for information security policy and standards, cybersecurity incident response, Threat Risk Assessments, security assessments, security requirements oversight, security advice and guidance, and evaluation of emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Protect confidential, sensitive, and personal information and comply with applicable security, privacy, workplace, and information-handling requirements. Cooperate with client security, privacy, audit, and cybersecurity requirements throughout the engagement. Requirements: Demonstrated full-time working experience in an Information Technology-related field. Demonstrated experience with solutions architecture and/or IT design. Demonstrated working experience performing Information Technology Architecture responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to apply cybersecurity considerations to infrastructure, architecture, technology renewal, or IT design initiatives. Ability to clearly demonstrate relevant experience through actual employment and project history. Education or training alone will not be considered equivalent to the required working experience.
