Job summary

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise-grade artificial intelligence solutions and intelligent automation platforms. This senior hands-on technical role will provide direction across the full AI solution lifecycle, including architecture design, technology selection, software development, integration, governance, security, scalability, and operationalization. The successful candidate will lead complex AI and agentic AI solution design while contributing directly to development and implementation activities, establishing engineering standards, mentoring developers, and collaborating with architects, cybersecurity specialists, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready AI capabilities. Responsibilities: Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise AI and intelligent automation solutions. Design and build production-grade AI applications, services, APIs, and integrations. Develop multi-agent and agentic AI solutions, orchestration frameworks, and intelligent workflow automation capabilities. Establish solution architectures, technical standards, reusable frameworks, and development patterns. Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, knowledge retrieval platforms, and AI-assisted decision support capabilities. Develop and optimize prompts, agents, workflows, reasoning patterns, and AI interaction models. Build integrations with enterprise platforms, cloud services, DevOps toolchains, operational systems, and line-of-business applications. Lead technical design reviews, architecture assessments, and code reviews. Implement AI governance, security controls, observability, monitoring, and operational readiness capabilities. Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to scalability, performance, reliability, and security. Mentor developers and provide technical leadership to delivery teams. Collaborate with architects, cybersecurity specialists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure solution alignment with enterprise standards. Produce architecture documentation, technical specifications, implementation guidance, and knowledge transfer materials. Support deployment, production readiness, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. Deliverables: Enterprise AI solution architectures and technical designs. Production-ready AI applications, services, APIs, and integrations. Multi-agent orchestration frameworks and reusable AI components. AI governance, security, monitoring, and operational capabilities. Technical standards, design patterns, and development accelerators. Architecture documentation, implementation guides, and operational handover materials. Knowledge transfer and mentoring of internal teams. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in software engineering and solution development. 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI solutions. 3+ years of experience leading technical architecture or solution design activities for enterprise-scale applications. Demonstrated experience designing AI platform architectures, agentic AI solutions, multi-agent systems, and enterprise AI orchestration frameworks. Demonstrated experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and enterprise AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock, or equivalent. Demonstrated experience with AI development frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar enterprise AI frameworks. Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, and knowledge retrieval solutions. Experience designing and developing cloud-native architectures using Azure Experience leading architecture reviews, technical governance, code reviews, and design assurance activities. Experience with microservices, API management, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, DevOps, and CI/CD practices. Strong understanding of secure software development, AI governance, application security, and enterprise architecture principles. Preferred: Experience serving as a Solution Architect, Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead. Experience developing Responsible AI controls, AI governance practices, and risk management approaches. Experience implementing AI evaluation, monitoring, observability, and model lifecycle management capabilities. Experience designing cybersecurity, DevOps, ITSM, or intelligent automation solutions. Experience within large public sector, regulated, or highly governed organizations. Relevant certifications in AI, architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering. Experience mentoring developers and supporting engineering capability uplift.
