Your contribution As an Advisor, Health & Safety, you will play a critical role in supporting Newmont's commitment to eliminating fatalities, injuries, and occupational illnesses. You will partner with operational leaders and field teams to identify and manage risks, implement safety programs, conduct audits and inspections, and foster a culture of safe work practices across exploration activities. As part of our team, you will Identify, assess, and prioritize operational risks while supporting effective risk management plans and controls. Maintain and update operational plans, risk registers, and emergency response plans. Conduct field and drill rig inspections, audits, and compliance reviews. Deliver safety training, coaching, and guidance to employees and business partners. Support incident investigations, event reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures aligned with applicable regulations and company standards. Support fatality risk management, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Track, analyze, and report leading and lagging safety indicators. Influence frontline leaders and work teams to strengthen health and safety performance through Visible Felt Leadership. Support assurance activities, management of change processes, and health and safety management systems. Prerequisites for your success in this role Knowledge of health and safety management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, MSHA, or similar). Experience conducting risk assessments, investigations, audits, and inspections. Understanding of incident management and root cause analysis methodologies. Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills. Ability to build effective relationships across operational and functional teams. Foundational project management and data analysis capabilities. Experience supporting compliance and continuous improvement initiatives in field-based environments. Your work environment This role is based out of Brucejack mine site it supports exploration activities and requires regular interaction with operational leaders, field personnel, and health and safety stakeholders. The successful candidate will spend time in field environments conducting inspections, audits, coaching, and risk assessments while supporting a strong safety culture across geographically dispersed projects.
