Role Description The Personal Lines Broker is a full-time, hybrid role based in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the broker will advise clients on personal lines products such as home, auto, and tenant insurance, assessing their needs and recommending suitable coverage options from multiple carriers. The Personal Lines Broker will respond to client inquiries, support claims reporting, follow up on outstanding information, and maintain strong relationships through clear communication and timely service. The role also involves staying current on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements, and contributing to team goals and service standards. Responsibilities Conduct in-person client meetings to develop a profitable portfolio of personal lines accounts while delivering an exceptional client experience Prepare, service and manage new business applications, quotations, binders, renewals, endorsements and cancellations with accuracy and efficiency Present insurance quotations and coverage recommendations professionally, clearly explaining policy features and options to help clients make informed decisions Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with clients, carrier underwriters and colleagues Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and maintaining accurate client records in Acturis Identify opportunities to generate new business and contribute to premium growth through cross-selling, upselling and bundling insurance products Achieve and exceed individual sales and retention targets through strategic business planning and proactive client engagement Develop and maintain proficiency in Acturis and Applied Rating Service (ARS) Stay current on insurance market trends, carrier products, underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements Qualifications RIBO licence (Required) Minimum 2 years of experience in Personal Lines insurance Demonstrated success in preparing insurance quotations with a proven ability to upsell, cross-sell and identify new business opportunities Strong interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills Proven ability to manage a high-volume portfolio while delivering exceptional client relationship management Computer proficiency with experience using Acturis and Compu-Quote (Applied Rating Services) is an asset Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships Strong analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance.
