Charge Nurse Team Leader (AA)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse/Team Leader to join our Day Surgery Theatres at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline, leading The Ophthalmology team. There are 6 elective theatres, 2 Ophthalmology theatres, Procedure room and a recovery suite. You will have theatre experience at senior band 5 level or above and be able to demonstrate on-going professional development. It is essential you have Ophthalmology experience. The post holder will provide professional and clinical support to the SCN and will have delegated responsibility from the Clinical Lead for planning and implementing patient centred care, and for ensuring the standards of care are implemented within the operating department. Applicants must hold First Level Registration with either NMC or HCPC. Applicants should be educated to degree level or working towards or equivalent level of knowledge and experience. Lead the Ophthalmology team within the Day Surgery Theatres, providing professional and clinical support to the Senior Charge Nurse. Responsible for planning and implementing patient-centered care and ensuring care standards are met within the operating department.

Must have Ophthalmology experience and theatre experience at senior band 5 level or above. Requires First Level Registration with NMC or HCPC and a degree or equivalent level of knowledge.
