Duration, Location, and Working Pattern: Full-time, Permanent You will be based at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Working Pattern: Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 16:30 Key Responsibilities Deliver a range of delegated patient care activities to support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care Monitor and report changes in patients' physical or psychological wellbeing to Registered Nurses or Midwives Undertake clinical tasks including patient observations, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, blood pressure monitoring and wound care activities Assist with the safe transfer, movement and positioning of patients while promoting dignity and comfort at all times Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to effective communication across the multidisciplinary team Support housekeeping, stock control and equipment checks to ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment Communicate effectively with patients, carers, relatives and colleagues while promoting a compassionate and professional approach Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job: SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant or significant experience and training Relevant or significant experience providing care and support within a healthcare, care or community setting Effective verbal and written communication skills with good literacy, numeracy and IT abilities Understanding of person-centred care and the importance of dignity, respect, confidentiality and compassion Knowledge of infection prevention and control, health and safety practices and professional standards relevant to the role Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while managing allocated responsibilities Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development to maintain and enhance knowledge, skills and competencies throughout your career with NHSGGC What We Offer We offer a wide range of supportive policies designed to enhance your employee journey, including a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work Scheme, bursary scheme and extensive learning and development opportunities. Requirements

Applicants need an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience and training, along with relevant care experience. They should have effective communication, literacy, numeracy and IT skills; understand person-centred care, confidentiality, infection control and health and safety; and be able to work in a multidisciplinary team and undertake ongoing training.
