Job post summary Date posted: September 23, 2026 Pay: CA$50,000.00 - CA$180,000.00 per year Job description: You already know how to sell real estate. Now you’re wondering whether you really need to build an entire company around yourself just to have a successful career. The Nick Fundytus Team is looking for an Ontario-licensed Realtor who has already gained some traction in the business and wants to grow with the support of a strong team behind them. We’re not looking for someone who needs convincing that real estate is a career. We’re looking for someone who loves working with clients, has demonstrated that they can generate or convert business, and wants more opportunities, better systems, stronger support and a little more room to have a life outside of real estate. This is not an entry-level position. You must already be registered to trade in real estate in Ontario. We are primarily looking for Realtors who have completed approximately 5 or more residential transactions in the past 12 months, although we care about the quality of your experience and approach to the business as much as the number itself. Why join a team if you can work on your own? That’s a fair question. If you have a thriving solo business, great systems, excellent support and all the time off you want, we probably shouldn’t try to convince you otherwise. But if you’re good at being a Realtor and frustrated that you also have to be your own administrator, marketer, lead-generation department, CRM manager, content creator and backup Realtor, we should talk. Our goal is to give good Realtors the leverage to become better Realtors. You’ll have access to team-generated opportunities from multiple channels. We don’t simply dump a pile of names into your CRM and call them “leads.” Opportunities are provided with context and matched based on fit, availability and performance. You’ll have administrative and marketing support so more of your time can be spent prospecting, advising clients, showing homes and negotiating—not chasing paperwork or designing marketing materials. You’ll work within an established Follow Up Boss CRM and Monday.com system, with processes already built for lead follow-up, active buyers, transactions and handoffs. You’ll also have real coverage when you’re off. Our goal is for Realtors on our team to be able to take one fully covered day each week and one full weekend each month without asking their clients to put their lives on hold. Our Ottawa office includes private workspace and a small video studio for prospecting, client meetings and content creation. And you won’t be figuring out the business alone. You’ll have regular coaching, collaboration with experienced team leadership and access to outside training. What you’ll actually do Your primary responsibility is helping people make great real-estate decisions. You’ll conduct buyer consultations and guide clients from the first conversation through closing using our documented Buyer Roadmap. You’ll show and evaluate homes, helping clients understand value, condition, neighbourhood considerations and resale—not simply opening doors. You’ll prepare, present and negotiate offers, communicate clearly with clients throughout their search, and collaborate with our listing and operations team to keep transactions running smoothly. You’ll maintain your pipeline and client communication in Follow Up Boss. We believe good follow-up is a professional responsibility, not an optional sales tactic. You’ll participate in our weekly sales meeting, coaching and team accountability. We use the EOS framework to give everyone clear goals and visibility into how the business is performing. The objective is accountability without micromanagement. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your own niche or specialty—with marketing support from the team—and participate in client events and community initiatives. The person we’re looking for You have an active Ontario real-estate registration and hands-on residential sales experience. You genuinely like people. You ask good questions, communicate well and can build trust without being pushy. You follow up. You don’t need someone reminding you three times to call a client back. You’re coachable and comfortable discussing your numbers, goals and pipeline with a team. You appreciate accountability because you want to improve—not because someone needs to manage you. You want to be part of a team. That means sharing information, covering for other people when necessary, asking for help when you need it and helping someone else when they need you. You’re comfortable with technology and willing to learn the systems we use. You’re willing to appear on video. We use personalized video with clients and create educational real-estate content. You do not need to arrive as a polished broadcaster, but you do need to be willing to become comfortable on camera. You understand that residential real estate includes evenings and weekends, while also believing that a successful Realtor should be able to have boundaries and time away from work. You have a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation. French-English bilingualism is an asset, but not required. What about your own business? We want you to continue building it. If you have an existing sphere of influence and generate clients through your own relationships, those relationships remain an important part of the business you’re building. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your own niche, database and referral network while benefiting from the infrastructure of the team. Team-generated opportunities are handled as team business. We’ll explain the commission structure, lead ownership, team expenses and economics clearly before asking you to invest significant time in a formal interview. There shouldn’t be a mystery about how either of us gets paid. This is a commission-based independent contractor position, not a salaried position. Annual income will depend on your production, with expected earning potential in the range of approximately $50,000–$180,000+. About us The Nick Fundytus Team is a residential real-estate team with Royal LePage Performance Realty in Ottawa. Our philosophy is simple: People first. Properties second. We want to build a successful real-estate business without losing sight of the people we're supposed to be helping—or the people doing the work. We operate using EOS, with clear responsibilities, measurable goals and regular team meetings. We invest heavily in systems, marketing, client experience and community relationships, and we believe a great team should allow talented people to accomplish more together than they could alone. Our office is located at 165 Pretoria Avenue in Ottawa, with a mix of office, field and remote work. Interested? Please apply through LinkedIn with your résumé and thoughtful answers to the application questions. We are intentionally hiring one Realtor, rather than continuously adding agents. If you’re already doing some business but feel like you’ve hit a ceiling working alone—or you simply want to spend more of your career being a Realtor and less of it running all the machinery behind one—we’d like to hear from you. People first. Properties second.
