JOSEPH-SCOLLARD HALL FTE: 0.5 Temporary (20 hours/week) Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Schedule: Monday to Friday (Salary Range: $55,350 - $56,598 annually based on 40 hours/week) Effective September 8, 2026 until approx. November 30, 2026 but not to extend beyond June 30, 2027 Requirements Secondary school diploma combined with a minimum 4 years of experience in trades maintenance or a construction related field. Graduation from a recognized trade school and two years of experience is also acceptable. Demonstrated ability to make adjustments and minor repairs to commercial/institutional heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems Ability and willingness to provide support to system schools; could include assisting with lunch tables, lawn mowing, snow removal etc. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and mechanical/electrical drawings Knowledge and ability to operate and maintain small motors including lawnmowers, snow blowers etc. A sound working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS and the Ontario Building Code Good problem-solving skills, organizational skills and communications skills (written and oral) Ability and experience in a related computerized environment (i.e.: databases, email etc.) Demonstrated ability to complete assigned work with consistent high quality results, according to prescribed standards in a safe, efficient, economical manner, to use appropriate judgement and to work without direct supervision Must be able to perform the physical duties of this job including moving and lifting equipment, climbing ladders or scaffolding, working indoors or outdoors in all seasons and conditions and have good hearing and vision under normal circumstances Demonstrated ability and experience with dry wall patching, painting and carpentry Valid driver's license and occasional use of your own vehicle Willingness to work occasional afternoon shifts Additional Posting Information: Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.
