Job summary

Perform Linux operating system upgrades, installations, configuration, and firmware upgrades across virtual and physical environments, while managing compliance and troubleshooting HBA, NIC, and cluster configurations. Develop and maintain Ansible automation for provisioning, patching, compliance, user and package management, and system hardening; prepare root cause analyses and provide scheduled on-call support.

Role: Sr. Linux Infrastructure Engineer Location: Mississauga, Canada (Hybrid, 3 days WFO) Type: Fulltime Job description: Job Description: Responsible for OS Upgrades - complex environment Both VM and Physical and various firmware upgrade procedures. RHEL 7 to 8 OS Inplace upgrade skill must Should have knowledge about OS Compliance tools and its setup. Must be able to configure & troubleshoot HBA and NIC load balancing. OS installation and configuration UNIX shell scripting & Perl scripting knowledge Should have exposure on RAC cluster pre-requisite setup. Should have knowledge on VCS cluster L3 level Should have knowledge on VXVM / VCS Service group Should have knowledge about OS Compliance tools and its setup. Must be able to configure & troubleshoot HBA and NIC load balancing. Should have Knowledge in Devops tools Develop and maintain automation using Ansible for: OS provisioning and configuration Patch management and compliance enforcement User management, package installation, and system hardening Create and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and variables Integrate Ansible with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines where applicable Have knowledge on preparing RCA Flexible with shifts and on-call support over the weekends or weekdays according to the schedule Good customer handling experience and good communication skills

What you’ll do

Requirements

Requires hands-on expertise with RHEL 7-to-8 in-place upgrades, Linux/UNIX administration, shell and Perl scripting, OS compliance, HBA and NIC load balancing, and VCS/VXVM clustering. Ansible automation experience and familiarity with DevOps tools and RAC cluster prerequisites are expected, along with strong customer handling and communication skills and flexibility for scheduled on-call shifts.
