Noble is looking for a motivated individual to become a Mechanical Supervisor at the BHP Jansen Mine! This individual will help the Noble team develop and maintain the construction sites underground at BHP Jansen. Mechanical Supervisor: Under the direction of the Mechanical Superintendent the Mechanical Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily construction tasks of underground conveyance systems at BHP Jansen, as well as the safe execution of projects at the work site. Schedule: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rotating between days and nights Living out allowance or Camp options available Travel for each turnaround available depending on place of residence Responsibilities: Supervise the execution of projects to ensure high level of performance, both in safety and efficiency Assign daily duties, (reducing as much idle time as practicable) Responsible for the daily scheduling duties of all employees, communicating with superintendent, employees and clients. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, and company policies Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy Maintain records related to work orders, inspections, and materials Make recommendations for change and improvement at the field level. Identify areas of concern and develop action plans to ensure workplace improvements Attend training if applicable – also look for and suggest training from which you would benefit Implement systems to efficiently manage labor and equipment Enable maximum efficiency and profitability of operation Work closely with project controls, provide accurate and timely information Communicate the importance of project controls with the employees Identify upcoming and potential projects and communicating with superintendent Safety: Conduct and participate in the following exercises Safety meetings Tool box talks Site inspections Incident investigations Ensure all employees are working to the highest standard of safety at all times Assist in the development of all related JHA forms Ensure all equipment is maintained and in good working order Required Qualifications: Conveyance and belt construction experience Underground Supervisors ticket Minimum 5 years underground belting experience Strong leadership Ability to work well with others Ground control experience Proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet, Excel Strong organizational skills Safe work record Thorough knowledge of all safety, health, and mine regulations as they pertain to the work and workplace Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding Combination of sitting, standing, walking Bending, crouching, kneeling Ability to work 12-hour shifts night shift Competencies: Initiative Priority setting/ Time Management Motivating Others Accuracy/ Attention to detail Team Player We would like to thank everyone for their application, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
