The ideal candidate should have strong experience with patient care, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, medication administration, and general hospital workflow. This is a part-time locum position for 3 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Wage will be discussed based on experience and qualifications. Main Responsibilities Performing blood draws and collecting laboratory samples Placing and maintaining IV catheters Preparing patients for surgery, dental procedures, and diagnostic testing Monitoring anesthesia during surgeries and dental procedures Recovering patients after anesthesia and monitoring patient comfort Performing dental cleanings and taking dental radiographs Administering medications, injections, fluids, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Being familiar with common veterinary drug doses and basic drug calculations Assisting veterinarians with appointments, procedures, treatments, and diagnostic imaging Safely and compassionately handling cats and dogs Maintaining accurate medical records, including treatments, vitals, and procedure notes Skills and Qualifications Valid RVT license in good standing Minimum 1 year of veterinary technician experience Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Strong experience with blood draws, IV catheter placement, dental cleanings, dental X-rays, anesthesia monitoring, and medication administration Good communication, organization, and multitasking skills Strong attention to detail, especially with medications, anesthesia, and medical records English communication is required Mandarin is not required, but is considered an asset Positive, professional, and compassionate attitude toward patients, clients, and team members We are looking for someone dependable, experienced, and confident in their technical skills to help support our team during this maternity leave coverage period. Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour Work Location: In person

What you’ll do

The Registered Veterinary Technician will perform blood draws, monitor anesthesia, and assist with surgeries and dental procedures. They will also maintain accurate medical records and support veterinarians in a busy practice.

Requirements

Candidates must have a valid RVT license and a minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience. Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
