We use advanced agricultural drone technology to provide efficient and precise application services for growers, landowners and agricultural businesses. We are looking for a reliable Pesticide Applicator / Mixer-Loader to support our growing drone application operations. Position Overview This is a part-time, seasonal position working alongside our drone pilot during agricultural spray applications. The primary responsibility is safely preparing, mixing and loading pesticide products while helping keep field operations running efficiently and in compliance with Ontario regulations and product labels. This is a great opportunity for someone with an agricultural background who is interested in working with new technology and becoming involved in the growing agricultural drone industry. Responsibilities - Safely mix, handle and prepare pesticide products according to product labels and Ontario regulations - Load prepared spray mixtures into agricultural drones - Assist with water, chemical and equipment preparation at job sites - Maintain accurate pesticide application and product records - Assist with equipment setup, cleaning and general field operations - Work closely with the drone pilot to maintain an efficient spray and refill rotation - Follow all required PPE, environmental and workplace safety procedures - Occasionally assist with drone demonstrations, customer events, farm shows and industry events - Represent Norfolk Drone Services professionally when working with customers and growers Qualifications - Valid Ontario pesticide applicator/exterminator licence or relevant certification preferred - Agricultural pesticide certification/licensing is strongly preferred - Landscape or Industrial Vegetation qualifications are considered an asset - Agricultural, farming or pesticide-handling experience is an asset - Comfortable safely handling and mixing agricultural products - Reliable and able to work independently - Comfortable working outdoors and around farms and agricultural equipment - Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation - Willingness to work flexible hours based on weather and application schedules - Interest in agricultural drones and precision agriculture is an asset; previous drone experience is not required Schedule This is a seasonal, on-call position. Hours will vary depending on customer demand, crop conditions and weather. Early mornings, late nights and weekends may be required during the spray season. Additional Opportunities There may be opportunities to become more involved with Norfolk Drone Services as the business grows, including agricultural drone demonstrations, equipment sales, customer support and other field operations. Commission opportunities may also be available for bringing new customers and spraying projects to Norfolk Drone Services.
