Kamloops, BC *Schedule:* Monday?Friday | 7:30 AM ? 2:00 PM *Hours:* 30 hours/week _(includes one __*30?minute unpaid lunch break*_ _daily)_ *Wage:* $25.00 ? $27.00 per hour (based on experience) *Benefits:* * 10 Paid Sick Days * Statutory benefits (CPP, EI, Vacation Pay) * _Extended Health (medical/dental) is not provided._ *Overview* Cottonwood Manor is a 144?suite (55+) residential community seeking a reliable and proactive Building Maintenance Person. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, timely completion of work orders, and efficient daily task management. We are looking for a proactive team player with strong time?management skills who can work independently and document work accurately using digital tools. Reports to the Property Manager. *Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)* * Perform routine and preventative maintenance of the building and common areas * Conduct weekly inspections of building systems (HVAC, boilers, mechanical rooms) * Complete minor in?suite repairs (plumbing, lighting, minor carpentry, HVAC adjustments) * Coordinate and follow up with external trades for major repairs * Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies * Manage garbage and recycling bins for weekly collection * Maintain small inventory and submit supply requests * Document maintenance activities and time * Collaborate on building projects and improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance the overall condition and functionality of the property. * Perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks as required by management * Accountability and accurate reporting *Qualifications* * Previous experience in building or apartment maintenance preferred * Strong time?management, organization, and problem?solving skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Physical Requirements: Standing position requiring regular manual work, including lifting and moving industrial bins, climbing ladders, and working on your feet for extended periods. * Comfortable using a laptop for reporting and communication * Positive attitude, professional communication, and good judgment when interacting with residents * Experience with Yardi Breeze is an asset (not required) *Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.* Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour Application question(s): * This is a physically demanding, standing position that includes lifting and moving large industrial garbage and recycling bins, climbing ladders, and performing manual work throughout the shift.
