General Labourer

The role: A great opportunity has become available to join our Edmonton team as a General Labourer. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of physical labour tasks within a production/manufacturing plant. This will involve operating production machines, moving and/or lifting items, unpacking, packing, sorting, packaging, cleaning, sweeping, etc. Training will be provided. Hours : 7:30am to 3:30pm , overtime available Job Duties * Operate machines for making product and assist other workers with various physical labour tasks * Demonstrate initiative and teamwork in daily work activities to provide assistance wherever needed * Effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors * Assist plant and/or office staff with moving items which may entail lifting up to 50 lbs. * Ensure tasks are completed fully and accurately as requested * Check and weigh materials and products * Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products * Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Requirements * Accuracy in following instructions and eager to learn * Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis * Efficient job task planning and organizing * Manual dexterity, Attention to detail * Speaking, reading, and writing in English Work Conditions * Manufacturing setting, Monday through Friday, occasional overtime may be required * Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, may be on your feet for long periods Job Type: Full-time Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday

The General Labourer is responsible for operating production machinery and performing various physical tasks such as lifting, sorting, and packaging materials. They must maintain a clean and safe work environment while ensuring all production tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Candidates must be physically fit with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and possess strong manual dexterity. The role requires the ability to follow instructions accurately, work well in a team, and communicate effectively in English.
