Job summary

Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for three Full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistants at Onoway Elementary School, Onoway, Alberta. Successful Candidate Responsibilities Provide support to students in an inclusive setting Follow the direction of the classroom Teacher Preference will be given to candidates who: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school Understand and carry out oral and written direction Work independently with minimal instruction Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills Respect confidentiality Practice professionalism with all OES School students, staff, administration, parents and public Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures Have experience working with young children Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process Have strong interpersonal skills and patience Enjoys working in a team environment Start Date: August 25, 2026 Hours: 6 hours a day, 5 days a week Application Process Email a cover letter and resume, including references, by August 16, 2026, to: Mr. Marc Dickner, Principal Onoway Elementary School Phone: 780-967-5209 [email protected] If shortlisted, applicants must bring to the interview a Release of Results of Vulnerable Sector Check that is current within three (3) months.
