About the role As a pharmacist you will play a critical role in providing pharmacy services that support safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care across Northern Health. Working as a valued member of an interprofessional health care team, you will assess patient needs, recommend individualized treatment plans, and serve as a trusted resource for drug information and clinical expertise. Your responsibilities will include: Providing expert drug information and education to health care professionals. Monitoring medication prescribing, distribution, and therapy to ensure the safe, effective, rational, legal, and economical use of medications. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers to optimize patient outcomes. Assessing and recommending individualized pharmaceutical care plans. Maintaining workload records and statistics in accordance with departmental and organizational standards. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc Pharm) or equivalent. Current licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or a combination of at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience and advanced education courses. Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) is encouraged.
