Using a variety of professional and technical skills, the position reduces the incidence of communicable disease, injury, and health hazards; performs technical assessments; provides consultative and education services; ensures that community development does not conflict with a healthy environment; ensures compliance with environment health legislation, policy, and standards. Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:30 to 16:30

The officer is responsible for implementing environmental health protection programs to reduce communicable diseases, injuries, and health hazards. This includes performing technical assessments, providing consultative services, and ensuring compliance with environmental health legislation and standards.

Candidates must be certified Public Health Inspectors and have completed a Public Health Inspector practicum. The role requires the ability to apply professional and technical skills to maintain community safety and environmental health.
