Sales Manager Northland Equipment – Sales & Rentals | Lower Mainland, BC Northland Equipment is a growing construction equipment sales and rental company focused on providing reliable, cost-effective earth-moving equipment to contractors and businesses throughout the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Our equipment lineup includes wheel loaders, excavators, compact equipment and other earth-moving machineryfor construction, excavation, landscaping, agriculture, material handling and industrial applications. We are looking for an experienced Construction Equipment Sales Manager to grow Northland's equipment sales and rental business, develop key accounts and expand our presence throughout the Lower Mainland. Key Responsibilities Drive sales and rentals of wheel loaders, excavators and compact earth-moving equipment. Develop relationships with contractors, excavation companies, developers, landscapers, municipalities and other equipment users throughout the Lower Mainland. Prospect for new customers and develop major fleet and contractor accounts. Build and manage an active sales pipeline through job-site visits, cold calling, referrals and industry relationships. Conduct equipment demonstrations and help customers select the right equipment for their operation. Negotiate equipment sales, rentals, trade-ins and fleet opportunities. Develop sales and rental strategies to increase revenue and local market share. Establish sales targets and monitor performance against monthly and annual goals. Monitor competitor equipment, pricing and market activity. Work with management to ensure equipment inventory aligns with customer demand. Maintain accurate customer, quote and opportunity information within the CRM. Work with service, parts, financing and operations to provide customers with complete equipment solutions. Represent Northland Equipment at customer meetings, job sites, trade shows and industry events. What We're Looking For Ideally 5+ years of equipment, construction, heavy machinery or related sales experience. Strong knowledge of earth-moving equipment and the construction industry. Existing relationships with contractors and equipment users throughout the Lower Mainland are a strong asset. Proven ability to prospect, develop new business and close equipment sales. Experience developing major accounts and long-term customer relationships. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage a sales pipeline, forecasts and targets. Comfortable spending significant time in the field visiting customers and job sites throughout the Lower Mainland. Self-motivated, competitive and results-oriented. Valid driver's licence. The Opportunity This is an opportunity to play a major role in growing Northland Equipment's presence throughout the Lower Mainland construction and earth-moving market. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a substantial book of business across equipment sales, rentals and fleet accounts while helping establish Northland as a competitive alternative in the earth-moving equipment industry. Compensation will be a mixture of base salary plus commissions with expected earning potential of $125,000 plus with no cap on the income you earn. Potential to move up in the company beyond this role We're looking for someone who understands that construction equipment is a relationship-driven business — someone who gets out in the field, knows the contractors, understands their equipment needs and turns those relationships into long-term sales and rental customers.
