As a leading firm in M&A, securities, shareholder activism and private equity mandates, we are well positioned to provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice on complex domestic, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions, reorganizations, proxy contests, financings and other matters. Our team has played a foundational role in some of Canada’s most high-profile, precedent-setting transactions and routinely acts on the full spectrum of industry matters, including public takeovers, public and private M&A, debt and equity capital markets, private equity, governance, general commercial and corporate advisory matters. The ideal candidate will possess a JD degree, be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practise law in Ontario, and will also have: 2-5 post-call years of experience in corporate, securities, M&A and/or private equity matters, and a desire to work across these spaces; excellent research, writing, analytical and organizational skills, with strong business acumen and judgment; an ability to be a strategic and creative thinker, with a passion for challenging legal matters; an ability to work on time-sensitive matters, while maintaining excellent attention to detail; and exceptional client service, teamwork and interpersonal & communication skills.
