Job Description Join a family physician network team providing service to their in-patient program at Roseway Hospital. Responsibilities Be accountable for management of your panel of hospitalist patients Provide care and coordination of community-based care, and secondary and tertiary level heath care Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities Expected Hours The hospitalist service provides availability for patients 24/7. Opportunity for discussion exists around the requirement for coverage for 1–2 weeks per 4-week cycle (1:4 or 2:4). Additional work opportunities may be available, including extra hospitalist coverage, patient clinic work, emergency department shifts, and locum opportunities in local family medicine practices. Remuneration Remuneration is a daily stipend of $1695.21 per day for the full-time position; some positive variance may occur when surge capacity is required. Additional stipends are paid to compensate for Category 1 Facility on call availability: evening ($350) and weekend/holiday ($500). Incentives Eligible physicians may qualify for recruitment incentives, relocation support and site visit reimbursement through Nova Scotia Health and the Province of Nova Scotia. Located in Shelburne, RH has 19 inpatient beds and works closely with other health care facilities in Yarmouth, Kentville, Liverpool, Bridgewater, and Halifax.
