The job ad has been the inspiration behind our brand as it represented the authenticity of Nova Scotian culture. “Local lobster fisherman from Ballantyne’s Cove, Antigonish Co. is interested in hiring a helper for the summer. Basic requirement: sober, alert & willing to learn” The job ad constantly reminds us of the importance of creating local jobs for Nova Scotians. We take great pride in supporting our local employees, and hiring small local companies to get involved whenever possible. Hence the names Willing to Learn Gin, Fisherman's Helper White Rum and Blue Lobster Vodka.
