Job summary

We are currently seeking a Industrial Maintenance Technician - Team Lead for our client located in the East of Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of leadership and background within Manufacturing, in particular the Food, Pharma or Cosmetics industry Job Responsibilities: Procure and source all required replacement parts and materials Plan, organize, and schedule maintenance activities for production equipment Supervise maintenance operations and inspect critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, heating and ventilation, to ensure reliable performance Promote continuous hands-on support by performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, servicing equipment, and assisting with maintenance tasks as required Evaluate technicians’ performance and provide coaching to support continuous improvement Coordinate and oversee the work of external service providers including plumbers and electricians Develop and implement detailed maintenance plans covering both preventative and corrective activities Contribute to maintenance budgeting by helping prioritize repair projects, monitoring expenditures, and proving recommendations for cost-effective maintenance spending Manage and coordinate contractor activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in according with company standards All other duties as assigned Requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician Team Lead within the Food/Pharma and Cosmetics industries Experience with SAP, ERP and CMMS Knowledge and experience of Heating, Electrical, Air Conditioning and Ventilation systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proven track record of exemplary leadership skills
