Job summary
Job Description 4 DAY WORK WEEK, MON - THURS, 7:00 A.M. TO 5:30 P.M. Responsibilities MUST HAVE METAL STAMPING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE. Troubleshoot, repair, modify & maintain various types of industrial equipment as required (Mechanical presses, feed-lines, etc..) Read blueprints, diagrams ,schematic drawings ,technical orders and service manuals to determine work procedures Operate rigging equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise specifications; align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments Install industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans Perform regular maintenance, preventative maintenance (P.M.), safety inspections and complete related documentation as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Work independently or in a team to inspect, examine and diagnose mechanical problems, providing quick & innovative solutions for equipment breakdowns Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems Works in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures, using personal protection and safety equipment as required. Reports any accidents, incidents and injuries or illness immediately and notifies Supervisor of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace Identifies, reports on and repairs deficiencies in mechanical equipment and systems throughout the shop floor Fabricates (cuts, welds, assembles) components as may be required for repair or modification of equipment Help advise and monitor inventory of replacement parts Demonstrates flexibility in: working overtime, weekends, holidays, cover vacations/absences to support maintenance team Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance repairs Assist in supervision of contractor services as required Operate drill press, saws, grinders, welding machines, cutting torch and misc. bench tools Document and submit status reports of machines to employers when required Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation Familiar with plumbing lay out, assemble, install, maintain and repair connections to piping of air, gas, water supplied, or disposal of waste Follow quality management systems policy, procedures and work instructions manuals as per ISO requirements Qualifications Industrial Millwright Certification preferred; 5 years+ of previous Metal Stamping/Fabrication experience will also be considered.
