ABOUT THE JOB Your goal is to help mature our financial operations into a venture-scale institution with the fiscal discipline, reporting accuracy, and strategic insights needed to scale. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Financial Reporting & Compliance Book Closing: Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process including reconciliation. Audit Readiness: Establish "clean" books. You are responsible for making the due diligence process for investors as seamless as possible. Tax & Regulatory: With support from 3rd party partners, manage R&D tax credit claims, EOY taxes, sales tax, and local compliance. Monthly Budgets: Approve and continuously audit & adjust department budgets to stay on budget. General Business Operations & Treasury Cash flow management Cost accounting Support sales tracking, invoicing, procurement Ensure financial systems are well maintained (Quickbooks, Float) Support sales with pricing negotiations and new customer journey. Strategic FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Burn & Runway: Maintain a real-time view of cash runway and burn rate. The Model: Own the 1, 3 & 10-year financial models. Translate the vision into headcount plans, projections, and departmental budgets. Variance Analysis: Track "Actuals vs. Budget" monthly and explain the why behind the numbers to the leadership team. Fundraising & Grants Grant Management: Submit monthly grant claims and supporting documentation Fundraising Support: Support all financial documentation for data rooms. Build the financial slides for pitch decks. Answer technical questions from VC associates during due diligence. Board Reporting: Draft the financial section of the monthly or quarterly Board deck. Scaling Operations Unit Economics: Work with Sales/Marketing to refine the cost of products to align with market trends WHAT YOU BRING 5-7 years experience in a fast paced environment Experience in manufacturing and/or food and beverage, cost accounting CPA preferred but not a requirement Mastery of Google Drive and Quickbooks Experience with finance automation tools i.e. Notion and Float An obsession with continuous improvement and finding efficiencies Meticulous attention to detail Experience using AI-based tools We’re committed to creating an inclusive culture as we know that diverse teams build better products and generate better ideas.
