We are currently looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Component Technician to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will support the manufacturing of high-quality roof and floor truss by preparing, cutting, and assembling materials according to engineered drawings and company standards. Key Responsibilities * Work with the Team Leader to set up the workstation for each order. * Assemble trusses according to company procedures, SWOP, and Team Leader instructions. * Inspect materials, equipment, and completed work regularly; report any issues promptly. * Maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout the shift, including end‑of‑day cleanup. * Operate all tools, equipment, and machinery safely, correctly, and responsibly. * Perform additional duties as required to support production and team operations. Experience * No experience required. We provide on-the-job training for motivated individuals who are eager to learn. * Previous woodworking, manufacturing, or construction experience is considered an asset. * Ability to safely use a hammer and accurately read a tape measure using the imperial (feet, inches, and sixteenths) measurement system is an asset. * Experience reading and interpreting work orders, production drawings, or blueprints is preferred but not required. * Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is an asset. Knowledge & Abilities * Strong verbal and written English communication skills. * Team‑oriented, cooperative, and supportive. * Detail‑oriented, accurate, and committed to safe work practices. * Able to prioritize tasks and work productively in a fast‑paced team environment. * Willingness to learn new skills and participate actively in team huddles. * Strong organizational and communication skills. * Proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes, the department, and personal performance.
