Job summary
Position Scope The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for an experienced Heavy Equipment Multi Operators (Finish OP) with large earthworks construction / mining project experience. We offer: 3 week on / 3 week off rotations; 12-hour days Fly in / Fly out Competitive hourly rate with Overtime pay (1.5x) Commercial flights and accommodations are covered Work locations / positions available: Hope Bay Mine - Nunavut Pre-access requirements may include: Medical clearances A&D Testing Criminal Record Check Responsibilities Some Key Responsibilities: Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities. Maintains equipment in good operating condition, reporting, and logging maintenance requirements or concerns. Complete production reporting and other documentation as required. Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members. Operate other heavy equipment if required. Follow all site, company and client specific safety protocols, policies, and procedures. Qualifications Qualifications: Previous experience operating (Loader, Dozer, Excavator, and Graders) in a road building, mining, and/or industrial setting. Minimum 3+ years experience as a Finish Excavator Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life. Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades). Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions. Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness. Experience with radio communications and protocols.
