Job summary
Location: Canada (Remote or In-Person) About The Role We are seeking a highly analytical and organized Demand Planning Analyst to lead our forecasting plans, improve supply confidence, and drive cross-functional alignment across brands and sales channels. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, promotional activity, and strategic business insights. The Demand Planner will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Product Development, and Procurement to support business planning, budgeting, new product launches, and sourcing initiatives. This individual will proactively monitor forecast performance, inventory health, and production schedules, communicate risks and opportunities to leadership, and continuously improve planning tools, reporting, and ERP data integrity. Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts across brands and sales channels using historical sales data, market trends, promotional activity, and strategic insights. Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to align forecasts with business plans and customer demand. Work closely with Finance to support the Planning and Budgeting rollup. Assist Product Development team during new product launches by determining opening order forecasts and sales channel allocation. Monitor forecast accuracy, inventory health, and production schedules to identify stockout risks proactively. Steward forecast performance to leadership by highlighting trends, insights, and risks and translate into action plans to improve operations. Support Procurement initiatives by providing analyses for ad-hoc sourcing proposals, awards, and commitments. Maintain data integrity in ERP and planning systems, improve forecasting tools, reporting, and processes through ongoing continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply/demand planning and forecasting, ideally in a fast-moving CPG industry. Direct experience with developing and stewarding forecasting models that manage more than $1M of monthly sales Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in data visualization. Advanced knowledge in Excel (nested formulas, fuzzy lookups, PowerPivot/Query) Experience using Python, R, Power BI, or SQL is preferred, but not required. Strong communication skills, both verbally and written. Previous experience supporting multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with ERP systems.
