Job summary

Location: St. John’s, NL (Office-based) About The Role Nutra Holdings is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and report directly to the Controller. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while supporting the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a continuous improvement mindset. Key Responsibilities Complete monthly intercompany reconciliations and resolve outstanding discrepancies. Prepare and reconcile various balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Reconcile sales tax accounts and prepare monthly sales tax filings for management review. Complete monthly inventory reconciliations and investigate variances. Perform monthly bank and corporate credit card reconciliations. Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. Prepare monthly sales reporting files for management review and analysis. Review monthly expenses for accuracy and completeness prior to management approval. Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting procedures. Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For CPA designation required 3+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
