Position Purpose Collaborate with the Engineering team to establish design parameters and processes to meet custom project objectives. Part of the Engineering team that is responsible for driving multiple, concurrent projects to completion on time and on budget. Duties & Responsibilities Design, monitor and execute development projects under the supervision of the Senior Mechanical Engineer. Assists the Senior Mechanical Engineer with the coaching and managing of the Co-op Engineering Students and SolidWorks Mechanical Drafter on drafting, designing, detailing and verification of engineering drawings and specifications. Follows all regulatory requirements and standards for designing, drafting, and detailing of engineering drawings and specifications. Develop and verify SOPs for manufacturing. Notifies the Engineering Manager of changes in scheduling and deadlines. Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to identify issues and find appropriate resolutions prior to their development and scheduling of the affected manufacturing tasks. Provide solutions to overcome obstacles to maintain timelines and design goals. Responsible for providing and releasing drawings to the Manufacturing team according to the planned schedules in order to meet deadlines and avoid bottlenecks in manufacturing. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Certification Registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Class 5 clean driver's license with access to a car. Experience 2+years of experience in production and manufacturing industries is required. 2+years of experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD and SolidWorks Composer. 2+years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Knowledge and understanding of CNC technology (e.g. lathe, mill, water jet cutter, router tables) is required. Hands on experience with various shop tools, basic machineries and CNC machineries is required. Skills And Abilities Strong motivational and leadership skills; leads by example. Professional etiquette (both written and verbal) with co-workers, customers, vendors and individuals visiting NuWave Research. Strong work ethic, and ability to work positively and respectfully with co-workers. Strong ability to manage time and multiple priorities to achieve high-quality deliverables and avoid bottlenecks. Works well under pressure to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines; remains positive, flexible, resourceful and efficient. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong ability to work independently; strong solution-oriented skills. Strong team player and willingness to support the organization in tasks outside of the job description.

Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in production/manufacturing, proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T, and hands-on CNC machinery experience.
