Asphalt Plant Grounds Person

We are currently looking for an experienced and safety conscious Asphalt Plant Grounds Person, to work seasonally in a full-time capacity at our Acheson, Alberta plant. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect. Responsibilities: * Assist co-workers with operating equipment as well as some plant work * Operating equipment in a safe manner following transportation driving laws * Cleaning of all scales, garbage, housekeeping around fuel tanks (willing to use a shovel) * Ensuring all signage is intact around the plant/yard * When required, assist with directing traffic, greasing and washing of equipment & trucks and maintenance on various plants in yard i.e., KMA, asphalt and cement Qualifications: * Some experience working in a construction company as a labourer will be an asset * Some experience with small construction equipment such as bobcats, skid steers, loaders will be required * Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license * Minimum High School education or equivalent * Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure * High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions * Ability to work in varying weather conditions * Ability to use smart phones and testing features * Ability to work independently with little supervision * Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends Additional Information: * This is a seasonal position and is eligible for over-time. * Opportunity for local employment within Edmonton . * Training will be provided for various activities. * We offer excellent wages and a health and benefits plan with the eligibility to participate after 3 months. The role involves operating small construction equipment and maintaining the cleanliness and signage of the asphalt plant grounds. Additional duties include directing traffic and performing basic maintenance on plant equipment and trucks.

Candidates must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and a minimum of a high school education. Experience with small construction equipment and the ability to work in varying weather conditions for extended periods are required.
