About The Role: Days of Working: This position will be based at various sites in Durham, working various shifts of both part-time and full-time. Shift patterns are yet to be determined but can be discussed at interview. Additional Info: This role requires high level SC security clearance due to the sensitive nature of the working environment. As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Maintain the safety and security of buildings, personnel, and visitors across the site Act as a first point of contact, providing a professional, friendly and helpful service Monitor fire, security and building management systems, responding appropriately to incidents Support a safe working environment by following Health & Safety policies and reporting hazards, damage, or defects Control access points, barriers, and support traffic management across the site Carry out regular patrols and ensure security procedures are consistently followed The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Right to Work in the UK (UK Passport Holders only) and willingness to undergo strict SC clearance (be able to evidence 5 years of UK work and residency history) Valid SIA Licence Previous experience in a security role Strong communication and customer service skills Desirable Experience working in a busy or public-facing environment Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to duties Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations About The Company: OCS UK & Ireland is a leading facilities management company with 50,000+ colleagues and a turnover in excess of £2bn.
