At Old Yale Brewing, our Hosts are the first smile, first conversation, and first impression of the OYB experience. As a Host, you'll create a warm and welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests, managing reservations and seating, answering guest inquiries, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations. You'll also assist with merchandise and beer-to-go sales, helping guests take home a piece of the OYB experience while contributing to the memorable moments that inspire our community one person, one beer, and one experience at a time. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and create an exceptional first impression. Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to ensure a smooth guest experience. Respond to guest inquiries in person and over the phone. Maintain knowledge of menus, promotions, events, merchandise, and brewery products. Support front-of-house operations by preparing, clearing, and resetting tables as needed. Assist guests with merchandise, beer-to-go, and retail purchases. Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready dining and reception areas. Communicate effectively with Servers, Kitchen staff, and leadership to support service flow. Follow food safety, liquor service, and workplace safety requirements. Contribute to a positive team environment and assist wherever needed to support restaurant operations. Key Qualifications Previous hospitality, customer service, retail, or restaurant experience is an asset. Passion for creating memorable guest experiences. Friendly, outgoing, and confident communicator. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Comfortable learning and using reservation and POS systems. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Valid Serving It Right certification is an asset. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Passion for hospitality, great food, and craft beer. Come as you are and be who you wish.
