The Opportunity - Student Recruitment Specialist (Permanent Full-Time) This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement Job Classification: Technician II (36.25) The Domestic Recruitment Team is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to develop, support and participate in student recruitment activities. This unique role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and engaging work environment, support meaningful experiences for prospective students, and help showcase the culture and community at Olds College, both on campus and throughout the province. We Are Looking For People-focused problem solver: Success in this role depends on building strong relationships, communicating effectively, and working collaboratively to find solutions. Detail-oriented and collaborative: This role requires strong attention to detail while balancing independent work and effective collaboration within a team environment. Willingness to participate in promotional content: This position involves engaging with social media platforms and appearing in photos or content used for marketing and college-related communications. Agricultural Interest/Experience: Someone who is able to connect with prospective students and other stakeholders about how our programs are connected to the industry is an asset. What You Will Be Doing Mastermind Strategic Growth: You won’t just follow a plan; you’ll assess, identify, and launch cutting-edge recruitment strategies that turn prospective leads into the next generation of registered students. By diving deep into market research and crafting insightful briefs, you’ll be the go-to expert informing the big-picture decisions that drive the College’s success. Be the Face of Olds College: Take center stage as you plan and lead high-energy recruitment events—from high school tours to major trade shows. You’ll build and nurture vital relationships with counselors, community leaders, and parents, delivering captivating presentations that bring our programs to life. Inspire and Lead Tomorrow’s Leaders: Step into a leadership role by recruiting, coaching, and managing our talented student assistants and ambassadors. You’ll provide the professional development and leadership needed to ensure our student-led support team is high-performing, cohesive, and ready to shine. Drive Innovation and Excellence: Help us work smarter by identifying ways to sharpen our business processes and operations. As a steward of our resources, you’ll manage your recruitment budget with precision, ensuring every dollar is used effectively to maximize our impact and reach What You Bring To The Role Successful candidates must have a driver's license.
