Job details

The Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for all of the IT services provided by Olymbec's Technology department in all of its locations. Daily administration and troubleshooting of issues are required to ensure high levels of availability. This includes hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance. The Systems Administrator is also considered level 2 technical support and receives escalations from the IT Analysts operating the helpdesk while also working hand-in-hand with Helpdesk to ensure high levels of satisfaction. The System and Network Administrator will report directly to the IT Director. RESPONSABILITIES: - Responsible for installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of the server environment of virtual and physical servers - Accountable for maintaining network connectivity through switches, routers, and firewalls - Support and maintain the storage environment, including planning for data growth utilizing SAN and NAS storage units - Support and maintain Olymbec's directory and e-mail services - Support and maintain internal applications, services, and servers - Maintain overall system capacity and performance - Responsible for backup system and backup storage - Monitor network connectivity and utilization of Wi-Fi, WAN, LAN, and Internet - Manage and maintain security software and appliances - Reviews logs to ensure operability and status of software and hardware - Works with incident system to log and review tickets - Creates, updates, and maintains proper documentation and diagrams of logical and physical networks and systems - Works with team to create, maintain, and modify procedures REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: - A minimum of 5 years' experience working as systems or network administrator - Strong knowledge of networks (WAN, LAN, VPN), switches, firewalls, and routing (MikroTik, HP, Cisco, WatchGuard, UniFi) - Strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, problem-solve, adapt, and learn - Ability to manage projects, take initiative, and implement plans - Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, EMM (AirWatch), virtualization (VMware), Linux - Intermediate level, oral and written (French and English). *The employee in this position will interact more than 40% of the time with international customers, suppliers and colleagues (USA) who understand and communicate only in English.
