The Role As the Rental Centre Manager, you are responsible for the overall success of the location. You are accountable for its customer experience, team performance, fleet utilization, safety culture, and financial success. What You’ll Do Here’s what a typical day involves: Lead the customer experience Set the tone for every customer interaction so that your team mirrors the standard of exceptional service you model Engage, qualify, and guide customers ranging from DIYers to professional contractors toward the best products and solutions for their projects Build lasting relationships with customers that drive repeat business and consistent revenue Address customer concerns quickly and effectively, creating positive experiences that strengthen trust and loyalty Manage rental operations Ensure the fleet is rental-ready — clean, serviced, and available when customers need it Oversee reservations, pick-ups, and returns with precision and accountability Drive efficient and effective equipment turnaround between rentals to maximize utilization and revenue Coordinate with Mobile Field Technicians on fleet readiness, repair prioritization, and availability Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date fleet status in the rental management system Drive financial performance Lead the achievement of revenue, utilization, and profitability goals for the location Leverage KPI insights to identify trends, address performance gaps, and drive continuous improvement Implement strategic pricing initiatives and uncover growth opportunities that enhance both revenue and customer satisfaction Optimize workflows and resource allocation to improve operational efficiency and manage costs effectively Lead, develop, and retain your team Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing Rental Specialists, fostering growth and long-term success Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to strengthen performance, skills, and employee engagement Hold team members accountable to performance expectations and company values through consistent leadership and support Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and inclusion where employees can thrive Identify and develop future leaders, building a strong talent pipeline and ensuring long-term team success Own safety and compliance Champion a safety-first culture, leading by example and reinforcing safe work practices across all operations Ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards before being released to customers Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free facility through regular inspections and safety walkthroughs Monitor safety training and certification requirements, ensuring team compliance and readiness Respond promptly to incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence What We Offer Competitive base salary plus performance bonus A clear pathway to multi-store and regional leadership opportunities Extensive training in rental operations, fleet management, and business systems Ongoing leadership development, coaching, and career growth opportunities The opportunity to make a direct impact on customer experience, team performance, and business results Comprehensive health and dental benefits What We’re Looking ForExperience & Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing operational environment, such as tool rental, equipment rental, retail, construction supply, trades, or a related industry 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience, with a proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively support contractors, tradespeople, and DIY customers Solid knowledge of tools and compact equipment;
