The Role As a Rental Specialist, you are the face of our operation. You are on the front line of the customer experience — helping customers choose the right equipment, getting rentals out the door efficiently, and making sure every piece of equipment is clean, safe, and rental-ready. This role blends genuine customer engagement with hands-on equipment work, and it takes someone who is comfortable doing both well. What You’ll Do Here’s what a typical day involves: Serving customers Greet every customer with energy and genuine interest in helping them succeed with their project Help customers select the right equipment, accessories, and solutions for their specific needs Walk customers through safe operation, proper use, and what to watch for in the field Handle check-in and check-out transactions accurately and efficiently Build relationships with repeat customers and contractors who count on us to know their needs Keeping the fleet rental-ready Prepare and stage equipment for reservations and pickups Inspect returned equipment thoroughly for damage, wear, and safety compliance Clean and “turn” equipment quickly so it’s available for the next customer Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs to keep the fleet in top condition Maintain accurate fleet status in the rental management system Keeping the centre running well Maintain a clean, organized, and safe rental area Follow all safety procedures and ensure every rental meets safety compliance before it goes out Support efficient workflows, assist with inventory, and communicate clearly with teammates Coordinate with the Rental Centre Manager and Mobile Field Technicians as needed What We Offer Competitive hourly pay with overtime eligibility Performance-based incentives tied to store success Training on tools, equipment, and rental systems Clear growth path to manager or technician roles Annual uniform allowance Health and dental benefits What We’re Looking ForYou bring 1–3 years of customer-facing experience — retail, rental, or similar A natural ability to connect with people and make them feel looked after Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment A strong work ethic and proactive approach Attention to detail Basic computer skills for rental system entry and fleet tracking The physical capability to safely lift 50+ lbs and work in an active, hands-on environment A valid Ontario driver’s licence (G class) You are Genuinely people-oriented — you enjoy helping others and it shows Dependable — your team and customers know they can count on you Curious about equipment and motivated to keep learning Calm under pressure and adaptable when the pace picks up Compensation Hourly Rate: CAD $20 - $25 / hour Overtime eligible Commission / Bonus: Tied to store performance and customer experience If you take pride in your work, enjoy helping people get the job done, and want to be part of a team that is growing and building an exceptional brand, then this is the role for you – apply now.
