JOB DESCRIPTION Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores), is seeking a full- time Pharmacist to work in our Pharmacy Department, Integrated Health Services Program. The Pharmacist will provide professional pharmaceutical services within a recovery-focused model of care. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medication related services for the Centre, including assessment and management of drug therapy problems, pharmaceutical care-planning and monitoring, drug information services, medication reconciliation, individual and group medication counseling and provision of medication related education for patients and their families, staff of the Centre and external stakeholders, formulary management, drug distribution and inventory management. Requirements: • Degree in Pharmacy. • License to practice Pharmacy in Ontario • Registration, in good standing, with the Ontario College of Pharmacists • Current knowledge of drug therapies and best practice clinical guidelines • Good knowledge of all legislation governing practice of pharmacy. • Strong clinical assessment skills in identifying and solving drug related problems. • Proven ability to work within Microsoft Office and pharmacy information systems • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team • Proven excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral/written communication skills • Proven ability to provide above average counseling to staff, patients and families • Demonstrated ability to provide supervisory and preceptorship role • Demonstrated excellent organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution and critical thinking abilities. • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position. • Proven good attendance record with the capability of maintaining this same standard. • Experience with drug therapies for psychiatric illnesses an asset. • Hospital pharmacy experience an asset • Knowledge of Meditech or comparable system an asset. • Completion of a hospital residency program an asset Job Posting Closing: September 24th , 2026.
