CNC Machine Operator Position Summary: A CNC Lead Hand is responsible for ensuring that CNC equipment and tooling is setup and adjusted properly, allowing the CNC machine operator to produce high quality parts. Perform safety checks as required by Orlick Work Instructions Compare production parts to blue prints / mechanical drawings Set up CNC machines as required by Supervisor. Correct machining deficiencies as required to meet quality standards. Adjust tooling (including insert replacements) as required by the process. Complete downtime logs, specific startup sheets and other required paperwork. Check and maintain and / or fill out work orders daily to ensure functionality of machines and equipment Submit sample parts to the QA lab and log them into the system as required, work with the Quality Control group to understand potential problems with the machining of parts and take corrective action Perform or assist with various product containments for non-conforming parts. Assist the CNC Shift Supervisor as required. In the absence of the shift supervisor, must assume responsibility for the shift Communicate and work effectively with work-team members and other members of the company. Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience Excellent verbal/written communication skills Strong machining skills Detail Oriented Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Able to read, interpret and understand blue prints and mechanical drawings Proven time management and organizational skills Solid Interpersonal skills Team player able to work well with others **This posting is for an existing vacancy** Orlick Industries welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Requirements
