Die Cast Set-up Operator

Day shift 7:00am - 5:00pm, afternoon shift 5:00 pm - 3:00am. Responsible for safely operating a 10 ton and 25 ton crane for installing and removing production tooling. Responsible for setting up tooling in die cast machines to run production. Install auxiliary equipment as required. Machine set-up as outlined on master set-up instruction parameters Troubleshooting and repairing issues with cast dies during production. Polishing and removing aluminum and graphite from tooling. Assembling and disassembling complex cast dies. Ability to learn quickly and work independently. Work in a safe, efficient manner in co-operation with other factory employees. Accurate, concise completion of downtime logs at the end of each shift. Conduct visual inspection of all cranes, forklifts, lifting equipment and tools for safe operation ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 2-4 years experience in an aluminum die-casting environment preferred Problem Solving & Troubleshooting skills 1 or more years of Crane or Forklift experience TIG welding experience preferred Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools in a mechanical setting Comfortable working within confined spaces Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
