What You Can Expect You will work on the development of computer-assisted surgery instruments, as well as the improvement of existing products. You will be responsible for delivering innovative, high-quality designs that meet customer needs, within prescribed timelines and in accordance with applicable standards. How You'll Create Impact Understanding and responding to customer needs by attending surgeries, meeting collaborating surgeons, and participating in product development labs. Actively participating in and taking responsibility for the success of new product development projects and improvement projects for existing products that meet surgeons' needs. Participating in the search for solutions and designing 3D models using CAD software. Having prototypes produced and tested, determining manufacturing processes, creating manufacturing drawings, and actively participating in transferring the design to production in an outsourced manufacturing context. Performing analyses (failure modes, dimensional, functional, strength, and others) necessary for product release. Writing all quality documentation required for product commercialization (risk analysis, design requirements, and others), as well as supporting CAPA-related work. Establishing test protocols (design verification) using scientifically validated methods and valid statistical methods. Estimating, planning, and ensuring the follow-up and management of mechanical projects while interacting with the company's other functional groups. Acting as a mentor for less experienced engineers. • Comprendre et répondre aux besoins des clients en assistant à des chirurgies, en rencontrant des chirurgiens collaborateurs et en participant à des laboratoires de développement de produits. • Participer activement et assumer la responsabilité du succès des projets de développement de nouveaux produits et des projets d’amélioration des produits existants qui répondent aux besoins des chirurgiens. • Participer à la recherche de solutions et concevoir des modèles 3D à l’aide d’un logiciel de CAO. • Faire produire et tester des prototypes, déterminer les processus de fabrication, créer des dessins de fabrication et participer activement au transfert de la conception à la production dans un contexte de fabrication externalisée. • Effectuer les analyses (modes de défaillance, dimensionnelles, fonctionnelles, résistance et autres) nécessaires à la libération du produit. • Rédiger toute la documentation qualité requise pour la commercialisation du produit (analyse des risques, exigences de conception, etc.), ainsi que soutenir les travaux liés aux CAPA. • Établir des protocoles de test (vérification de la conception) en utilisant des méthodes validées scientifiquement et des méthodes statistiques valides. • Estimer, planifier et assurer le suivi et la gestion des projets mécaniques tout en interagissant avec les autres groupes fonctionnels de l’entreprise. • Agir en tant que mentor pour des ingénieurs moins expérimentés. What Makes You Stand Out You have knowledge of various manufacturing processes (CNC machining, turning, thermoforming, and others). You have advanced knowledge of CAD systems (SolidWorks is an asset) and geometric tolerancing (GD&T;). You are someone with a strong sense of responsibility and good analytical skills, and you are recognized for bringing new solutions to complex problems. You are a self-starter with a high tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to manage priorities and deadlines effectively. You have a very good ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, with experience in Agile methodology, and you possess excellent communication skills. You have experience in a highly regulated environment (ISO 13485) and in an outsourced manufacturing context. You are detail-oriented and organized, focused on details, and skilled at writing precise and concise reports. You are fully bilingual (French and English, written and spoken). The engineer will design and develop computer-assisted surgery instruments while managing the full product lifecycle from prototyping to production. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards, performing technical analyses, and mentoring junior team members.

Candidates must have at least 8 years of mechanical design experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably medical. Proficiency in CAD software, manufacturing processes, and bilingualism in French and English are required.
