About The Role Our Opticians are central to the success of our business as they have the crucial role of fulfilling the Optometrist's prescription and supporting our customers through the frame selection process. We require a licensed Optician who is capable of delivering leading practice patient experience and provide a high standard of support to our Optometrists. It is critical that the Optician is capable of suitably complementing the advice of our Optometrists when talking to our patients about eye heath and strategies to maintain good eye health. Therefore, a strong understanding of the anatomy of the eye and a caring approach with patients is necessary. In addition to standard dispensing duties, other typical duties involve: Conduct pre-testing activities. Assist with submitting third party benefit claims. Remake, adjust and repair frames. Follow up on outstanding customer orders. About The Person At minimum the ideal applicant will have: Appropriate provincial Optician license or certification by a nationally or provincially recognized opticianry college. Whilst displaying a genuine care for eye health the Optician is also capable of confidently and effectively working with customers through the frame selection process. Strong and effective time management and organizational skills. Works with a sense of urgency and adaptability. Flexibility to work mall hours including evenings and weekends. Requirements
