Job Summary Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the Human Resources Coordinator provides on-site HR support to the Strescon Bedford operation, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations and performance support activities. As the primary HR presence on site, this role supports employees and leaders in a mixed salaried and unionized environment while partnering closely with the HR Business Partner remotely. The successful candidate will bring an operational mindset, strong judgment, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to support diverse employee needs. Responsibilities Act as the primary on-site HR point of contact for employees and supervisors at the Strescon Bedford location, escalating matters to the HR Business Partner as appropriate Provide day-to-day HR support in a mixed salaried and unionized environment, including employee inquiries, attendance follow-up, onboarding support, and documentation Support communication between the HR Business Partner, local leadership, supervisors, and employees to ensure timely follow-up on HR matters Provide practical support to employees hired through immigration or newcomer recruitment programs, including onboarding coordination, documentation support, check-ins and connection to internal or external resources Coordinate new hire integration at the Bedford site, including pre-start communication, orientation logistics, first-day readiness, and follow-up during the first 30/60/90 days Maintain regular communication with the HR Business Partner regarding site trends, employee concerns, attendance issues, onboarding gaps, and opportunities for improvement Human Capital Management (homebase) administration including uploads and entry, adoption metrics, tickets, etc. Create weekly dashboard reports and circulate with HR and operations Additional duties as required Technical Requirements Post secondary education within human resources, business administration, or a related field Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 software, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams Experience using HRIS systems; Homebase, Oracle, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Oracle Recruiting Cloud experience is considered an asset Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes Ability to leverage technology to drive process improvement Previous experience in human resources, administration, or a customer-service focused environment Business Requirements Comfortable working independently as the on-site HR representative while receiving direction and support from a remote HR Business Partner Strong judgment and discretion, with the ability to identify when matters should be escalated Approachable and employee-focused, with the ability to build trust across a diverse workforce Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and data integrity Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering an exceptional candidate experience
