About Strescon Established in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces, the New England region of the United States, and Bermuda. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders, wall panels, complete parking garages, hollow-core planking, piling and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70,000 sq. ft. in Saint John, New Brunswick and 50,000 sq. ft. In Bedford, Nova Scotia. In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins Job Summary This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily precast concrete production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing. Lead production teams, manage schedules and resources, enforce safety standards, coordinate with engineering and quality control departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer and project requirements. Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate daily production activities within the precast concrete plant * Be responsible for production output and product quality, including daily reviews of production with the Plant Superintendent and other relevant departments. * Allocate, Lead, train, coach, and support production employees * Enforce company safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and promote a strong safety culture * Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve performance * Work closely with Quality Control personnel to ensure products meets company and customer specifications * Manage employee attendance, assist with scheduling, and overtime requirements. * Additional duties as assigned Technical Requirements * Two – Year Civil Engineering Technician diploma, Construction Management Technician diploma, and/or a Civil Engineering degree or relevant amount of education and experience * Experience supervising manufacturing, industrial, construction, or precast concrete operations. * Strong leadership and team management skills * Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations * Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills * Relevant safety experience in an industrial/unionized environment ideally within the Construction Industry considered an asset. * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs Business Requirements * Effective communication with all levels of management * A detail-oriented focus with strong analytical expertise * Drive to achieve results that meet and maintain safety, quality and accuracy As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Strescon Limited offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.
