For more than 45 years, Salus has been providing supportive housing and mental health services to adults living in the Ottawa area with severe mental illness, both in Salus housing and within the greater community. Our core conviction is that a home is a critical step to a healthy and rewarding life. Salus owns and operates 14 buildings in Ottawa. Our supportive housing model of care is successful in making housing a reality for so many people because of the crucial mental health support that frontline staff provide to clients. Our mental health programs and services work collaboratively, using an integrated service model to meet the unique needs of each client. Community Developer

The Community Developer provides onsite support and group programming to tenants living with severe and persistent mental illness to assist in maintaining successful tenancies. They collaborate with housing coordinators and external partners to facilitate intervention plans and advocate for individual client needs.

Residential Worker

On-site · Ottawa

The residential worker provides client-centered support and rehabilitation to individuals with severe mental illness in a residential setting. Responsibilities include life skills teaching, crisis intervention, medication support, and facilitating group activities to foster independent functioning.

Administrative Assistant

On-site · Ottawa

The Administrative Assistant provides logistical and clerical support to the management team while sharing reception duties. Responsibilities include managing office supplies, maintaining equipment, coordinating meeting spaces, and assisting with property management tasks.

Evening Onsite Support Worker

On-site · Ottawa

The Onsite Support Worker provides direct support to clients in a 24-hour residential program, including crisis intervention, counseling, and group programming. They are responsible for assisting clients with life skills acquisition and maintaining accurate documentation of client progress and incidents.
