Oulton College is seeking a Biostatistics Instructor to deliver instruction in biostatistics, epidemiology, and research within the Dental Hygiene program. This role supports students in developing analytical, research, and evidence-based decision-making skills essential to professional practice. Key Responsibilities Deliver course content in biostatistics, epidemiology, and research methods Teach statistical concepts including descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, and data interpretation Guide students in research design, data analysis, and critical appraisal of scientific literature Develop and evaluate assessments (exams, research projects, and written reports) Support student learning through feedback, mentorship, and academic guidance Participate in program development and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene, public health, statistics, epidemiology, or related field Post-secondary teaching experience considered an asset Strong knowledge of biostatistics, epidemiology, and research methodology Excellent communication and organizational skills Benefits Flexible schedule Opportunities for growth and full-time hours Professional development opportunities

What you’ll do

Deliver instruction in biostatistics, epidemiology, and research methods for the Dental Hygiene program. Guide students in data analysis, research design, and the critical appraisal of scientific literature.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene, public health, statistics, epidemiology, or a related field. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of biostatistics and research methodology, with post-secondary teaching experience considered an asset.
