Job summary
Outback Presents, the largest independent promoter of live entertainment in North America, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Event Producer (Touring & Live Events), Canada (Maternity Leave Contract) to join our Canadian team. Reporting to the SVP of Global Operations , the Event Producer plays a key role in supporting the planning, booking, routing, and execution of comedy tours, live events, and special projects across Canada. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about live entertainment, touring, and producing exceptional audience experiences. Working closely with agents, artist managers, venues, and internal teams across booking, marketing, ticketing, and production, the Event Producer supports all aspects of the promoting lifecycle, from early routing and offer support through event execution and final settlement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts simultaneously. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the planning and execution of comedy tours, live events, and special projects across Canada Serve as producer on select branded tours and events, overseeing projects from confirmation through settlement Assist with talent booking and offer support by coordinating with agents, artist managers, and internal stakeholders Source venue availabilities, manage holds, challenge dates, and maintain accurate routing and booking records Route multi-city tours strategically, balancing venue availability, artist schedules, travel logistics, and market considerations Prepare and maintain tour costings, show budgets, manifests, and financial tracking to support event planning and profitability Assist with processing and tracking artist, venue, and promoter contracts Coordinate event and tour logistics, including travel and accommodations Liaise with venues ranging from clubs, theatres, and arenas to ensure operational readiness and seamless show execution Partner closely with internal marketing teams to support announcements, on-sales, promotional timelines, and ticket sales initiatives Assist with post-show settlements, reporting, reconciliations, and project wrap-up QUALIFICATIONS 3 to 5+ years of experience in live event production, tour coordination, entertainment operations, or a related field Strong understanding of the Canadian live entertainment landscape, including venues, ticketing, routing, and event logistics Experience working in comedy, touring entertainment, music, or live events is strongly preferred Strong spreadsheet, budgeting, and financial tracking skills Exceptional organizational and project management abilities with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments Proficiency with Apple products, Google Workspace, and project management software such as Airtable and MasterTour preferred Experience with ticketing platforms such as Ticketmaster and is an asset Passion for live entertainment and comedy is essential Additional Details Position Type: Full-time maternity leave contract Location: Remote in Canada Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as required by live events Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, plus benefits Equal Opportunity Outback Presents is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
