OZZ Electric BC is an industry leading contractor working on exciting high-rise residential and commercial projects across the lower mainland. You will join our growing team as a key member on the tools, both mentoring apprentices and assisting foremen, in order to help build state-of-the-art projects for our clients. Please note, we are expanding to Nanaimo. We are looking for people to join us on Vancouver Island. RESPONSIBILITIES As a Journeyperson you will be responsible for: * Installing electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications * Connecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment * Terminating wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices * Observing functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement * Testing continuity of circuits to ensure integrity and safety EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS * Journeyperson Electrician ticket (Red Seal an asset) * Experience working on high rise and/or commercial new construction projects * Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements * Excellent communication and time management skills WORKING CONDITIONS * Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions * Typical 5-day work week; overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines * Local work in Nanaimo * Benefits provided by CIBP OZZ Electric BC is committed to excellence in every way – in our work ethic, in the services we provide, and in the relationships we share with our clients, employees, and communities. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Journeyperson Electrician ticket and possess experience in high-rise or commercial new construction. A strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and excellent communication skills are required.
