Monitor furnace temperatures and flames, prepare and coat cores, and make and dry sand moulds. Operate furnaces and casting machines, and pour or ladle molten metal into moulds to produce castings.

Requirements

Requires a secondary school graduation certificate and one to less than two years of experience, or equivalent experience. Candidates must be able to perform physically demanding work involving heavy loads, prolonged standing, and attention to detail; a criminal record check is required.
